-emacs Command Line Option

What is the -emacs command line option for?

Docs say "Runs the REPL in a limited interactive mode (usually for a process)".

Is this useful from running a REPL from emacs or other editors?

Could somebody elaborate on how they are using this?

Thanks!

The -emacs option disables interaction features like completion allowing it to work over a process stdin/out/err as required by Emacs. This is very old and I never used it, so I cannot help out. Please report issues if you do find them.
